Taylor
Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who was able to transcend between the genres of country and mainstream pop culture and become an iconic figure in the pop world. Swift also swept all over the world by doing so. Swift has shed her country roots she grew up with as if it was second nature and demonstrated that she's one of the top pop singers and songwriters in her time. Swift could make the occasion personal and capture the atmosphere. Songs from her early days such as the neotribute of Tim McGraw were a testament to her talents. Her second album Fearless from 2008 showed the songwriter discovering her voice and a wider audience. The album was hugely popular, not just within the U.S., with six platinum-certified songs thanks to Top Ten songs Love Story & I Belong with Me. It was also a huge success internationally, in regions like the U.K. Canada & Australia. Swift was able to consolidate her success by releasing Speak Now almost two year later. In the following three years her fame rose -in the form of Red (2012), Reputation (2014) and 1989 (2014-2015) (2014-2015) -- as she moved into a realm of pop music where her skills were already well established. She continued to be at the high end of pop, even as she scaled down her style with her sibling albums folklore in 2020 and Evermore.
